The World's Largest Needle

Believe it or not...the tall building that you see in the pic below...is called 'The World's Largest Needle'.
It is a needle...and is the tallest building in Seattle. From most parts of Seattle, you will get to see this icon.

If you are in Seattle, this is one of the places that you must go.
Remember the show Fraser...yes, that is the Needle, the world's largest Needle.

From this Needle, you get a panaromic view of the entire city...



That is Mount Saint Helens....as viewed from the top of the Needle. When Mount Saint Helens erupted sometime in the mid 1980s' or what was the early 1980s'...it spewed a huge cloud of ash that lowered the world's temperature by a couple of degrees!

A view of the city from above...it was a good, clear day. I was told that it rains almost all the time in Seattle. So, I was lucky to have a good, clear day to enjoy such a view.

Yatchs in the marina...many rich people reside in Seattle...including the world's richest man - Bill Gates.
